Description
Ionosit Baseliner prevents micro-gaps, the leading cause of microleakage before they happen. It‘s a fact of life that composites undergo polymerization shrinkage. We rely on adhesives to maintain a strong gap-free bond between composite and dentin, but that doesn‘t always happen. Ionosit Baseliner employs patented controlled expansion technology to reduce the post-polymerization stress which leads to leakage, post-op sensitivity and recurrent decay.
ADVANTAGES:
– Ionosit Baseliner combines glass ionomer and composite properties, counters polymerization shrinkage stress.
– Prevents marginal gaps, seals dentinal tubules, protects pulp.
– Serves as stress-breaker, minimizing structural stress in composite, ensuring durable restorations.
– Releases fluoride and zinc ions, forming protective barrier.
– Easily applied directly from syringe.
– Forms connection to dentin, negating gaps from composite shrinkage, reducing stress on dentin interface.
Key Specification:
– Composition: Ionomer glass, polymerizable oligo- and polycarbonic acids, light-cure dental resins, fluoride, zinc ions.
– Filler content: 72% by weight, 55% by vol. (0.02–33 µm)
– Technical data: Compressive Strength: 35,520 PSI, Linear Expansion: 2-3%, Depth of Cure (40 sec.): 4mm
– Micro-expansion agent: Reduces internal stresses from polymerization shrinkage.
Direction To Use
– Use 450nm light-curing units, ≥400 mW/cm² intensity.
– Clean instruments, protect from ambient light.
– Retain oxygen inhibited layer for bonding.
– Clean tooth, prepare cavity, protect deep cavities.
– Etch, apply bonding agent.
– Apply 1mm Ionosit-Baseliner, cure for 20s.
– Place composite filling per manufacturer’s instructions, recommend EcuSphere by DMG.
