Description
Tetric N-Ceram:-
Tetric N-Ceram by Ivoclar Vivadent is a cutting-edge, light-curing dental restorative material designed for both anterior and posterior tooth restorations. Its remarkable properties are attributed to its advanced nano-hybrid technology. Notably, this composite exhibits excellent mechanical characteristics, such as low shrinkage and high strength, thanks to its unique prepolymers. Tetric N-Ceram’s superior radiopacity (400% Al) is achieved with ytterbium fluoride fillers, enabling the effective detection of secondary caries through X-rays.

Direction To Use
Tooth Preparation: Ensure that the tooth to be treated and adjacent teeth are clean.
Shade Selection: Use a Shade Guide to select the appropriate shade for the restoration.
Cavity Preparation: Prepare the cavity to remove any decay or existing restorative material, ensuring it’s clean and free of contaminants.
Etching: Apply a suitable etchant (e.g., phosphoric acid) to the prepared tooth surface. Follow the recommended etching time, usually 15-20 seconds.
Rinsing: Rinse the etchant off with a vigorous water spray and then thoroughly rinse the conditioned area with water for at least 10 seconds.
Drying: Blot-dry the conditioned area with a moist cotton pellet to remove excess moisture.
Application of Bonding Agent: Apply a dentine bonding agent (e.g., Tetric N-Bond) to the entire cavity. Ensure thorough wetting of the cavity.
Air Drying: Allow the bonding agent to air dry for the recommended time. Some bonding agents may require more than one coat.
