Waldent Periosteal Elevator Molt No.9

Description

Waldent Periosteal Elevator Molt No.9 is Double – Ended Instrument with one rounded, blunted end & other end is sharp-pointed. The blunt end is Spoon – Shaped.

The rounded edge of the Molt 9 periosteal elevator minimises the tearing of tissue when lifting the gum flap. The sharp end makes the initial lifting of the flap easier.

The pointed end is used in prying motion for the elevation of the flap.

INDICATION : 

• Ideally used for retracting & elevating mucoperiosteum during minor or major oral surgery.

• Used to lift full-thickness soft tissue flaps.

• Spoon Shaped End is used to raise gingival tissue at a cervical region which is to be detached for the extraction of the tooth.

• Reflects the mucoperiosteum away from the bone to prevent it from being crushed – as the bone is used as a fulcrum.
